When former SEAL Matt Bisonette froze 300 feet in the air during a climb, his instructor apparently told him:
Some pretty sound advice, I thought. It was actually a quote my husband read in an interview about a book by Mark Owen - actually a pseudonym for Matt Bisonette, who is famous for an entirely unrelated but not uninteresting set of reasons - he was one of the Navy SEALS that shot Bin Laden, and then got in trouble for writing about it in another book called No Easy Day without submitting it to the federal government for clearance before publishing... but that's another story!
THIS BLOG IS ABOUT THINGS IN MY 3 FOOT WORLD.
(or you could also say... my 3 Foot Universe!)
I'm Nadia Heng. A Malaysian emcee, TV Host and Miss World Malaysia 2010. I've been meaning to get my blog up and running for a while now, and now that my new website is finally up and running I'm committed! So why start a blog? I think the question is more like.. why not? :D I've found so much inspiration over the years from other people's blogs and YouTube Channels, I felt like it was time to start contributing my own experiences and take on things too.
I'm calling my blog the 3FootUniverse, because I'll mainly be blogging about the things I do, love and enjoy, and it will be a repository of musings and articles about stuff that I find useful and want to share with others ... it's also part of my resolution to remember to take time out of my busy work schedule to focus on me!
There are many stressful things in this life, many things outside of our control. But you know what? It's like Matt Bisonette's climbing instructor says - you can't do anything about it, so focus on things that are within your control. Enjoy your 3 foot universe!
So I'm taking baby steps, remembering to stop and pause fro a while and do stuff that nourishes my body, heart, mind and soul.
